The panel will present real world examples from their own perspective and experience as well as discussing  the recommendations from the Consensus paper.  These webinars are open to all hearing health professionals, cochlear implant teams, cochlear implant users, advocacy groups and commissioners of health care.

CIs are effective in improving quality of life due to improved hearing, and the wider impacts of better communication and connection with the world. CIs are safe with low rates of complications and can also be done while preserving any residual hearing. CIs should be the accepted standard of care for severe and profound deafness in adults.**
